More than 420 vendors, from various industries, attended Manila Water Company, Inc.’s (MWCI) online vendor forum last July 27, 2020. The forum aims to open and strengthen the profitable business relationships between MWCI and its vendor base.

CRIF D&B is Manila Water’s vendor prequalification partner through Vendor Integrity Access(VIA). VIA is an online compliance platform where vendors are empowered to apply to various Buyers, including Manila Water.


Present during the forum are Manila Water’s procurement management team led by Ms. Jennifer Doctor, Head for Vendor Management and Support. Ms. Evangeline Clemente, Manila Water’s Group Head for Strategic Procurement and Supply Chain Management, welcomed the attendees emphasizing Manila Water’s commitment to provide water and waste water services to the East Zone community. She also highlighted the importance of doing business with the vendors in order to serve consumers better.

The highlight of the forum was when Manila Water’s Headline Project Team shared its major capital projects in the coming months.

Ms. Evelyn Nolasco of CRIF D&B described Manila Water’s supply management process through VIA. She explained how suppliers and vendors can maximize the business relationships within the platform.

Mr. Robert Baffrey, Manila Water’s Group Director for Corporate Project Management, concluded the forum. He thanked the vendors for continuously working with Manila Water over the years. “We (Manila Water) want to create sustainable partnerships, sustainable engagements and we know that we cannot reach our aspirations for the Filipinos… without your (vendors) help.”, Baffrey said. He also encouraged the vendors to be dynamic in dealing with uncertainties.

With the spread of COVID-19 pandemic in the Philippines, Manila Water Company, Inc. is looking into the new reality of supply chain through technological innovation. The water firm remains to be vigilant in documentation and in its supply chain process, while creating a seamless experience for its vendors through CRIF D&B’s VIA.
